Thrifting Ed. 2: Kinder Handl Community Enterprise.

KinderHandle, located in Battlefield, Southside Glasgow, is probably, definitely heaven on Earth. If you are a person like me, who loves stylish clothes and even cooler gadgets. I strongly recommend you give this place a visit. I have taken many a walks and bus trips past this gem, and just never took the intuitive to go a wonder in. My goodness do I feel like I’ve wasted years of the thrifting experience. The shop sells probably everything you could think of, with something for everyone.  On the other hand, you will see prices that don’t align with the norm of charity shop pricing. I personally have not let this put me off, as I have thrifted my favourite Levi jeans for £10 from here and my cutest going out bag for £3. My boyfriend also found some beautiful white Ralph Lauren shorts for £8. Every item in fantastic condition.  Yet, It feels appropriate for me to group Kinder Handl closer to the price range of vintage shops from what the mass population are raving about, b...

Thrifting Ed. 1: Glasgow Charity Shops: Victoria Road, Southside.

As this blog begins, I want take you all back with me to some of my very first spots for charity shopping/thrifting in Glasgow when I was a younger student, being Victoria Road.   Victoria road is home to a heart of charity shops, such as Marie curie, Barnardo’s, Cancer Research UK, Oxfam Bookshop, and the Sarwar Foundation. As these Charity shops are all on the same road it makes for really easy access for a lot of people. I find myself most weekends returning here again and again as it is so central. The street has a great atmosphere, with many clothing options for many cultures, not just the western way. The street makes for some good inclusive shopping with great charity shop bargains.   Victoria Road may not be the apple of my eye, that blogs yet to be posted, but to get some decent charity shopping done in one short trip, you really cant complain.  Furthermore, being a ride or die for some some good vegetarian/vegan scran there’s also a good few wee stops on this...
