Markets are something global and known to be a place of bargains. That is if you go to the right place.   I am an avid lover of a bargain, so I absolutely love to hear about a market and go check it out! I have been to many all over the place but as Glasgow is my predominant hang out place, this is where I often bargain hunt. The picture attached, is a photo I took at a market I went to in Shawlands, Southside Glasgow, with my friend. We love to go check out these things and make a day out of it. It is a great way to catch up with friends and snatch some deals. The picture above showcased what was really just a make shift stall, with a women selling some of her old wardrobe out of a box and on a rail. It was very chill and fairly priced. This to me is what I think of the true essence of thrifting to be, supporting the total idea of sustainability. In this you get to save money and save the environment, thrifting prevents masses of clothing heading to landfills, and preserves resources in the process. A common thing we forget in our privileged world is just how essential our resources are and how privileged we are to have them so readily available. This is what I bought my favourite vintage Adidas T-shirt for at a Car Boot Sale in Polmadie, Southside, Glasgow. So, I think the conventional idea of charity shopping in this blog can sit back and give way for some car boot thrifting.
